An educational visit was organized for M.Sc. Biotechnology Semester 1 students by Department of Biotechnology, CCP Landran to National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh. In realization of the need for training better quality technicians to meet the large scale industrialization of the country, the ministry of Human Resource Development (the then Ministry of Education), Government of India established four Regional Technical Teachers' Training Institutes (now National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, NITTTR at Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata in 1967.
25 students of M.Sc. along with 2 faculty members, Dr shalini Verma and Ms. Mandheer visited National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh, on Monday 9h October, 2017. Dr. B. C. Choudhary Professor, NITTTR facilitated the entire visit. Students got an opportunity to visit virtual nano lab for understanding the software for characterizing the properties of nanoparticles. Students got a chance to learn the functioning of Atomic force microscope (AFM) technique to characterize nanoparticles.The students posed a lot of queries to the scientists and the visit proved to be successful.
