FDP programme on Next Generation Drugs and Drug Delivery Systems Future Prospective
A five day PTU Sponsered Faculty Development Program on “Next Generation Drugs and Drug Delivery Systems: Future Prospective” was organized by the Chandigarh College of Pharmacy at its Landran campus to enhance the research and teaching capabilities of the faculty.
All the faculty members of the department took part in the program to enhance their teaching skills. Many eminent professors from the field of pharmacy took part and shared their valuable research experience. The speakers presented their talks on various titles which immensely benefited the participants from different institutions from not only Punjab but also from surrounding states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Uttrakhand. Speaking during the opening ceremony of the FDP Dr. Vikas Singh, Campus Director, Chandigarh Group of Colleges said that the current research scenario in various technical fields need constant upgradation of the faculty and this effort of the college needs to be appreciated where prominent researchers from all across the country have reached to share their experience. Dr. Upendra .K.Jain, Director-Principal, CCP appreciated the efforts of the faculty and researchers who reached the institution for contributing to the development of pharmacy as a science. Eminent speakers included Dr. O.P.Katare from Panjab University, Chandigarh gave a presentation on “Research Innovation: A need Indeed” while Dr. Sanjay Jachak from NIPER Chandigarh gave his presentation on “Application of Novel Drug Delivery Systems to Herbal drugs/Bioactive Phyto-constituents: Recent Advances and Future Prospects”. Dr. P V Bharatam NIPER , Chandigarh gave his talk on “Pharmacoinformatics in the design of anti-malarial agents”. Dr. Anil Kumar from Panjab University, Chandigarh cited his view on “Emerging Trends in alternatives to Animal experiment”. Dr. Kulbhushan Tikoo NIPER, Chandigarh gave his talk on “Next Generation Nano Delivery Systems: Are Nanodelivery Systems Safe”. Dr. Indupal Kaur from Panjab University, Chandigarh cited her view on “ Nanotechnological interventions for effective brain drug delivery”. Dr. Vibha Tandon from JNU, Delhi gave her talk on “Oddyssey of Benzimidazole as Therapeutic Agent”. Dr. S K Singh from GJU Hisar cited his view on “Formulation optimization of Chitosan Nanoparticles for Brain targeting of drugs”. Dr. Gulshan Bansal from Panjabi University gave a talk on “Stability Studies in Ayurvedic Formulations” , Dr. B Narasimhan from MDU ,Rohtak enlighten the faculty on “QSAR by Hansh Analysis”. Dr. Vipin Saini from MMU ,Mullana cited his view on “Good Laboratory Practices”. Dr. Kumud Upadhyay from Kumaun University U.K “In The wonder world of Aroma: understanding the essential oils”. Dr Sanju Nanda from, Rohtak cited her view on “ Innovative Research Strategies in Skin Cosmetics: Consumer and Regulatory Perspectives”. Dr. Vikas Singh, Campus Director, Chandigarh Group of Colleges proposed the vote of thanks and encouraged the faculty to participate enthusiastically in such activities.
